Counts throughput = local density × belt speed, integrated. Best for a dense conveyor (incl. stop/start). Position the line where the belt crosses and set the direction to match its flow.
Local density is measured inside the grey band at the line. Keep it a few rows wide; set to full width to use whole-frame density.
Higher drops false ends on machine parts; lower recovers misses in dense piles.
